Eu tinha a maior duvida sobre esse livro, se era biografia ou romance histórico, principalmente depois de ver o filme baseado no livro. Mas logo na introdução a autora explica que ele é a versão editada de A.A. Milne: his life publicado em 1990. Uma coisa que o livro não mostra tanto (mas que no filme fica claro e me impactou de certa forma, por isso resolvi levantar a questão) é o fato de ambos, Milne e a esposa Daphne, não viram motivo para proteger o filho da exposição pública quando o livro fez sucesso. Ela até encorajava. Outra questão que achei interessante: sobre Daphne e o fato dela desconhecer completamente o que envolvia o parto e nascimento de uma criança, na explicação do porque o parto de Christopher ter traumatizado sua mãe e o fato dela não desejar ter mais filhos. De forma geral, é um bom livro, de narrativa clara que expões os detalhes da vida das pessoas sem ser cansativo e que tem um pequeno bônus: fotos de Christopher, seus pais e dos brinquedos que inspiraram a história de Pooh. Recomendo.
