The Pooh sketchbook (E.H. Shepard) – DLL 2026

Título: The Pooh sketchbook
Autor: E.H. Shepard
Mês: Outubro
Tema: Menos de 100 páginas
Editora Methuen young books, 96p.

Sinopse: Contains a collection of the sketches and preparatory drawings by Ernest Shepard for the “Winnie-the-Pooh” stories. There are examples of Shepard’s illustrations which allow fans of Pooh to meet the original toys from Christopher Robin’s nursery, as they posed for the artist.

Indico.

The art of Winnie-The-Pooh (James Campbell) – DLL 2026

Título: The art of Winnie-The-Pooh: How E. H. Shepard Illustrated na Icon
Autor: James Campbell
Mês: Outubro
Tema: Capa dura
Editora HarperCollins,160p.

Sinopse: Discover the enchanting story of some of the most beloved characters in English children’s literature—Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Christopher Robin, and more—and the remarkable partnership between a writer and na illustrator that brought them to life, told for the first time in this beautiful volume illustrated with more than 125 full-color images from the Pooh series, never-before-seen sketches, artwork, family photographs, and memorabilia.
Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends have enthralled generations of children and have become some of the world’s most beloved characters. But before their adventures were captured in many millions of books published in nearly 50 languages, they started life in the 1920s as the product of a unique collaboration between author A. A. Milne and illustrator E. H. Shepard. They wove images and text together in a way that was utterly original for the time. It was a process that Shepard relished; he continued to create artwork for new editions until his death in 1976 at the age of 96.
This lovingly designed, full-color volume, which includes a foreword from Shepard’s granddaughter, tells the story behind this remarkable partnership, and traces the evolution of Shepard’s work, from his first tentative sketches to the illustrations we know and love, including the characters’ later incarnations by the artists at Walt Disney Studios.
A stunning and rare collection, filled with some never-before-published sketches and the first illustration of Pooh, The Art of Winnie-the-Pooh is a treasure trove of early art and na exclusive behind-the-scenes peek at the creation of Pooh bear and Hundred Acre Wood—direct from the artist’s estate—that is sure to become a cherished keepsake for devoted fans and readers who grew up with these timeless characters.

O ursinho Pooh (A.A. Milne) – DLL 2026

Título: O ursinho Pooh
Autor: A.A. Milne
Mês: Outubro
Tema: Livro aniversariante
Editora Martins Fontes, 168p.

Goodbye Christopher Robin (Ann Thwaite) – DLL 2021

Título: Goodbye Christopher Robin: A.A. Milne and the making of Winnie-the-pooh
Autora: Ann Thwaite
Mês: Fevereiro
Tema: Biográfico
Editora Pan Books, 254p.

Sinopse: After serving in the First World War, Milne wrote a number of well-received plays, but his greatest triumph came when he created Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and, of course, Christopher Robin, the adventurous little boy based on his own son. Goodbye Christopher Robin inspired the film directed by Simon Curtis and starring Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie and Kelly Macdonald. It offers the reader a glimpse into the relationship between Milne and the real-life Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of the Hundred Acre Wood. Goodbye Christopher Robin is a story of celebrity, a story of both the joys and pains of success and, ultimately, the story of how one man created a series of enchanting tales that brought hope and comfort to an England ravaged by the First World War.

Milne: his life publicado em 1990. Recomendo.
