Continuando a autobiografia de Roald Dahl, aqui já mostra a juventude e a fase de adulto do autor. Eu achei que o livro iria englobar também sua fase de escritor, mas não. A despeito disso, vale muito a pena. Como o primeiro livro, este também traz ilustrações de Quentin Blake, muitas fotos e mapas, além de fac-símiles das correspondências do autor. Eu escolhi os livros de sua autobiografia por pura curiosidade, e não me arrependo. Na lista dos melhores lidos do ano.

Quando eu comecei a ler a autobiografia de Roald Dahl, fui pesquisa qual era a sequência correta dos três livros, sendo este (eu achava) o segundo. Na verdade, More about boy é uma versão melhorada de Boy, trazendo mais fotos, mais ilustrações e mais detalhes no texto. Não que Boy seja uma versão “infantil”, More about boy é uma versão mais completa, e o livro ainda traz um quis, uma curiosidade em livros que eu sempre acho bastante divertida. Mesmo que você já tenha lido Boy, recomendo este aqui também.

A primeira parte da autobiografia de Roald Dahl, um autor que eu só conheço mesmo por conta dos filmes de A fantástica fábrica de chocolate. Este volume engloba o nascimento e a infância dele, com ilustrações de Quentin Blake e várias fotos de família, o tipo de coisa que eu simplesmente adoro em biografias. Recomendado.
